Statement From Assembly Minority Leader Brian M. Kolb (R,C-Canandaigua) On The Final Recommendation From The Fast Food Wage Board

"This afternoon's recommendation from the Fast Food Wage Board to raise the minimum wage to $15/hour is the end result of an ill-conceived approach by Gov. Cuomo that purposefully circumvented the Legislature - a body elected by the people to democratically decide these very issues. This misguided style of governance, or lack thereof, marks a step backward for New York State.

Moreover, this recommendation foreshadows the creation of future wage boards focused on other industries, leaving already over-burdened business owners across the state wondering if they could be next."
