New York State Assembly Minority Leader Brian Kolb Co-Sponsors Legislative Disabilities Awareness Day

New York State Assembly Minority Leader Brian M. Kolb (R,C,I-Canandaigua) is pictured with Kimberly Hill viewing posters that were created by students in grades K-5 to showcase the issues faced by people with disabilities as part of Legislative Disabilities Awareness Day. Ms. Hill is the Director of the Assembly Task Force on People with Disabilities.

Leader Kolb co-sponsored the event to raise awareness of the needs of those living with disabilities and to recognize the hard work of their advocates across New York State. Leader Kolb, a member of the advisory board of Ontario ARC, continues to be a strong advocate for the rights of the disability community. Leader Kolb and members of the Minority Conference proposed a budget amendment that would have, if passed, restored $90 million in the 2013-2014 state budget for the Office for People with Developmental Disabilities.
