Statement From Assembly Minority Leader James Tedisco
(R,C,I-Schenectady-Saratoga):

"Being selected as a 'Business Council Champion' is tremendously gratifying, as it reflects my and our Assembly Minority Conference's efforts to improve the state's economy and create a climate that leads to more jobs and opportunities for our fellow New Yorkers. The reality, as I've said before, is that New York State still has miles to go in terms of effectively reining in spending, taxing and borrowing. We need a government that is responsive to the needs of employers - and the obstacles they face - and recognizes that entrepreneurs and the private sector, not bureaucrats or politicians, create wealth. This is why our Assembly Minority Conference has traveled the state, listening to small businesses and manufacturers, to hear firsthand their needs as to how state government can successfully partner with them in making New York a leader in job creation and private sector innovation. The Business Council's recognition of these efforts, and their continued support for a stronger New York, play an invaluable role in transforming our state. I am proud to be a Business Council Champion."
