"Rub A Dub, Dub… Three Men In A Tub"
Day 22 and Nothing Has Changed

Statement by Assembly Minority Leader James Tedisco
Regarding 98-45 Vote Defeating Amendment to Budget Reform Bill

"Today my Assembly Minority Conference and I introduced an amendment to the budget reform bill that any honest person would say was fair. It was defeated with 98 Majority members voting against it and only four voting for it. What they voted against was meaningful minority participation in the budget process and all negotiations. We asked for a seat at the table and a real voice in the budget process but they said no. We asked for Xeroxed copies of information the majority receives but they said no. Business as usual? They say yes. Three men in a room? They say yes. But what they really are saying yes to is the disenfranchisement of millions of New Yorkers who happen to be represented by a legislator in the minority. It's pathetic."
